Winter begonnen / Winter started

Winter has started
Like the rest of Europe, Norway experienced a rainy and stormy autumn. Several tiles have been blown of the roof. It is a challenge to put them back on the high roof. We do have a high enough ladder, yet how does one get it up against the facade when it has so many decorations. The solution is to call the fire brigade. The neighbors told us that the firemen helped them out last year. One neighbor has already drilled holes in the tiles, so they can be fastened this time. Another one will call the fire brigade this week, and
Cor offered to be present and help the firemen put the tiles back. It all has to be sorted before the first snow comes and potentially covers the roof for weeks.
At our cabin, the winter has already started. Just before the weekend, fresh snow fell and the temperature dropped well below zero. Together with the sun, it gave a proper winter feeling and nice pictures. After this weekend, we are ready to have a white Christmas!
It is a tradition to have Santa (jule nisse in norwegian) up in the tower of our house. Also this year, the neighbor ladies have give him a fine spot. The whole neighborhood expects him to be up there and often ask "when wil he be up there?" Children from the neighborhood sometimes leave wish lists and letter at the staircase for Santa.
We have just been in town to see a light show to celebrate Christmas. You can see it as well on internet:

We would like to wish you happy holidays!
If you feel like a 'last minute' holiday in Norway, you are more than welcome either in our house or our cabin. We are never at both at the same time, so it leaves you a place to enjoy.
