Eergisteren had Lars zijn eerste show van dit jaar met zijn klas van vijf. Ze hebben de afgelopen weken gesproken over speelgoed en zelf ook speelgoed gemaakt, zie http://picasaweb.google.no/tanjaoldenziel/AssemblyPYP12?authkey=Gv1sRgCLuWl4KHlt-l8QE. Het was aandoenlijk om te zien hoe de kids de tekst van andere feilloos wisten en hardop voorzeiden, maar juist hun eigen tekst vergaten.
Floor stond vorige week in de krant. Iedere week wordt een kleuterschool bezocht en aan de kleuters hun mening gevraagd. Naar aanleiding van de verkiezingen vroegen ze Floor en haar vriendjes wie de baas is in Noorwegen. Ik begreep dat de juffen nog snel even de zelfde ochtend de kleuters iets verteld hebben over verkiezingen; het is niet iets waar ze zich mee bezig houden.
Gister is de herfstvakantie begonnen. Het valt altijd vroeg in het jaar, zodat het nog prettig herfst weer is om naar buiten te gaan. Deze vakantie was ooit ingevoerd zodat kinderen konden helpen bij de aardappeloogst. Wij zullen de aardappels links laten liggen en veel de bossen in gaan met hun schitterend gekleurde bladeren. En wie weet naar onze hytte .... onze zoektocht gaat voort.

The day before yesterday Lars had his first assembly with his class of five. It was the end of their first unit at school, which focused on toys. They discussed many aspects of toys and also made their own toys. The show was great. It was especially nice to see how the kids perfectly knew the lines of others and loudly said these, while they forgot their own when it was their turn.(http://picasaweb.google.no/tanjaoldenziel/AssemblyPYP12?authkey=Gv1sRgCLuWl4KHlt-l8QE)
Last week, Floor appeared in the local newspaper. Each week, they visit a kindergarden to ask the small kids for their opinion. At Floor her school they asked who the boss is of Norway, as it was election time. I understood from the staff that they had to inform the kids beforehand, as elections are not part of their world.
The autumn holiday has started. It is always early in the year, as the weather is still mild. Originally this holiday was used to have kids help getting the potatoes of the field. We will leave the potatoes for what they are and often go to the woods with beautiful autumn colours. And perhaps to our hytte .... our search continues.

Dat is geen wonder hoor. Ooit gaan ze er allemaal uit. Alleen heb je soms wat geduld nodig :)
Leuk al die extraatjes op school. Dat maakt het schoolleven boeiend voor de kids.
